Have you ever spent $100 or more for a dinner at a restaurant?

I’ve been taken on dates when the dinner was that much but I’ve never paid that much myself.

Quite a few times when my daughter and I have eaten at a nice
restaurant. I have never spent that much for myself alone.

A single dinner? No. My family of 5? Pretty much every time.

For myself? No. As a group or family? Yes.

Sometimes, and more often than not, not worth it. 😕

Special occasions, anniversaries, etc are usually over $100, a couple times over $200

Not for just me, but sometimes for a very special dinner for two.

Last week, we were at a March of Dimes fund raiser that was $150.00/plate.

Fund raiser. Tax deductible. FANTASTIC food. Great cause. We go every year.

"We." So more than just you goes? I wish I had 300+ dollars to spend on one meal and then justify it because it's FANTASTIC and tax deductible.

I was with my wife. We don't make a practice of dropping 300.00 in one sitting, but it was for the march of dimes. If you aren't familiar with their work, they are a charity that does research with medical conditions for infants.

My wife is the director of two neo natal ICUs. In fact, her base hospital sponsored the event.

Yes, I have a family of 5, and I've treated my parents and in-laws a few times.

Yikes! That would happen at McDonalds in my area!

11/08/17 7:10 pm

Yes. Especially when I taught in Manhattan. It's expensive there.

Well yes, every time we eat out but there are 8 people in my family. That’s to be expected.

I spent about $300 for 2 people before. Valentine’s Day is expensive!

For a family of 5 yes basically every time we go out to a sit down restaurant, which isn't often. If you're talking about solo then still yes.

Yes, once. It was at a fancy downtown Japanese restaurant. Some of the best sushi I ever had.
