We never have regular mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes with marshmallow. Though I was raised up north, my mom is a southerner and she always, ALWAYS makes sweet potato casserole with pecan streusel topping. It’s just not thanksgiving dinner without it. She orders her pecans from a farm in Alabama (B&B Pecan Company, highly recommend them) because they’re so much better than the ones from California, and we always make two huge trays of it.
