A country w/ tremendous inequality - 99% live in poverty, 1% live in luxury - has a communist revolution. If you only read about the post-revolution experiences of the top 1% & ignore the rest of the situation, are you getting an accurate picture?

Nope. But Americans are only fed the narrative from what you call the top 1%, what I call the bourgeoisie. A communist revolution creates a dictatorship of the proletariat. That means for the proletariat it's a democracy, but for the bourgeoisie it's a dictatorship. Of course when bourgeois fucks tell their side of the story they'll treat it like a dictatorship, because for them, it is. They deserve the gulag.

The worst part is all these idiots around who believe these stories!

The way you phrase the question makes it seem as if our perception of Communism is flawed because we only hear the qualms of the 1%, which is ridiculous, given that the 1% almost never survives a successful Communist revolution.
