The people claiming they are going to leave NJ, NYC or VA due to election results are more likely than not the same people who chided the ones who said the same after Trump won.
You know Liberty - when I was much younger and would hear about all these terrorist attacks (for instance) in Israel - I remember asking my parents why do these people continue to live there with all those terrible things happening.
Now that I am older I unfortunately understand. Our jobs are here, our families are here, our lives are here. It’s easier said than done. NJ is not the place that I fell in love with compared to when I got married and it’s about to get worse thanks to liberal judges and a new governor. I don’t know where I would move to but I like being a car ride away from my daughter (where ever she winds up).
My family has had a house there for decades. My taxes are equal to my home in PA. Yet, much smaller. My friend, retired and moved out of N.J. A lot of her friends have moved to the Poconos from N.J.
I understand being close to family. It’s so important!
It is different for the fact that people are way more likely to move to a different state than a country. Many are leaving California because of their politics, for example.
Let's say the same *type* of people.
Nobody in their right mind gives up their house, workplace and friends just because of an inconvenient election result.
There's a word or two for this behavior: drama queen.
