During the first month of the 2018 fiscal year alone, refugee admissions into the United States have experienced an 87% decrease. Do you view this as a good thing or a bad thing?
It would be a good thing if that meant that the global refugee population were dwindling at the same rate.
Very good. We're a country, not a refugee camp.
The backbone of our nation is the strong work ethic of immigrants and the melding of diverse cultural backgrounds into a unique American value system. The strength of our nation was derived from our immigrant population. Hatred is both dividing us and deteriorating our core founding principles.
Our nation was built on American work ethnic and of the contributions of legal immigrants who assimilated into American culture (not multiculturalism). Immigration was heavily limited and regulated until 1965 so as to encourage assimilation. The current decline in immigration is not about hatred, but is instead about the return of normalcy and common sense to America's immigration system.
Thanks, Keyanna! 😊
As if Americans didn't have work ethic before companies shipped in cheap labor from poor countries. What a joke.
I agree with you, Carcano. 🇺🇸👍🏻
I hate to take the "99% route", but the only reason this is even a talking point is because corporations have been using their influence to push this "immigration is a strength" lie just so they can get cheaper workers. They even push for government welfare programs so they don't have to give benefits to these workers. Democrats play right into it and then call us corporate shills.
Isn't it ironic how the left claims to be against corporations yet willingly does the bidding of said corporations?
Exactly. They claim to be against big corporations but then you see all the big corporations making leftist commercials and the rich people like Mark Cuban are all liberals. It's very obvious what is actually going on here. They all hated Trump because they want to keep making cheap shit in China and paying foreign workers while benefitting from our consumption.
Big step toward 0%.
We can only hope.
I sure do
As do I.
Helping refugees is a UN responsibility and not ours alone.
Agreed. And keep them out of our country!
I view this as an excellent thing for America and Americans. We already have too many immigrants here as it is, and we certainly don't need to keep repeating Europe's mistakes by bringing in people from barbaric cultures that refuse to assimilate and whose values contradict the West's.
