This simply shows that the left is impotent. The Air Force is a part of the government. There is a 1995 law that requires them to disclose the domestic violence conviction, yet it appears that government incompetence was the reason it didn’t get reported. No additional background checks are required. When the government can’t properly gather and use the information already provided to prevent sick individuals from getting a weapon, the answer DEFINITELY can not be more government controls.

Gun control would not have stopped a wanton, motivated killer, nor may it ever. What gun control *might* have done, was prevent a Good Samaritan from possessing a gun that was instrumental in neutralizing the threat! What a great shot!...😃

Texas Governor Greg Abbot has told the media that Kelley was denied a permit by the State of Texas and called for an investigation into how he purchased the Ruger AR-15 he used in the crime. The attack may have been related to a dispute Kelley was having with his mother-in-law, who attends the First Baptist Church that he targeted, but she was not attending church services that day. Those who know Kelley describe him as a loner and an avid atheist who would frequently practice with his firearms. On LinkedIn, Kelley described his interests as animal welfare, art and culture, and children and civil rights. Ironically, in August 2014 he was brought to court on charges of mistreating, neglecting, or being cruel to animals that were eventually dismissed. He killed between 12 and 14 children and a pregnant woman during his rampage on Sunday.
