Following yesterday's massacre in a Texas church, Comedian Chelsea Handler took to Twitter to blame Republicans for the deadly attack. Who do you blame for the shooter's actions?
Hateful, God hating Communists and the retarded Republicans that sit back while Rand Paul gets attacked. Fucking pussies. This is a Civil War the Communists started. WAKE UP!
Would the shooter have had access to a gun if the NRA didn’t pay Republicans to oppose gun control?
This user is currently being ignored
So we shouldn’t have any laws then?
You didn’t answer my question.
You still haven’t answered my question.
So why do we have laws in the first place if some people are just going to break them?
Chelsea Handler is a highly paid fool!
For his actions? The shooter. Duh.
For the fact that he owned a gun? Looks like there was a bit of a failure on the Air Force's part, in that some crucial information about the nature of his military conviction and discharge was not entered in the proper database, resulting in his passing a background check when he shouldn't have. (This article also questions whether even the right data would have prevented it, since there is some confusion about wording.) www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/11/06/562320017/the-texas-church-shooter-should-have-been-legally-barred-from-owning-guns
However, we know that there are other ways to get a gun, even if you've been convicted of domestic violence including smashing the skull of your baby stepson.
So some clerk in the Air Force had a part in it, and somebody who wrote regulations should be slapped silly, but seriously, what law that Republicans haven't passed would have prevented this?
If you know of one, please tell me.
Why do we need to assign blame for him owning a gun? Plenty of people own guns and don't go on shooting rampages. If he couldn't get a gun he would have just used a car.
If it wasn't for a good guy with a gun, the madman with a gun would have killed a lot more people.
2 things are to blame, the shooter and society as a whole. The only true way to prevent these things is to prevent people from becoming so isolated and alone tgat they go this route
Never heard of Chelsea Handler until butt hurt snowflakes started whining about her.
GuN LaWs oF CoUrsE
Because criminals totally follow laws.

Time to break out the handy "Mass shooting checklist":
1. Send thoughts & prayers but don't actually do anything useful. ✔
2. Argue over semantics of the term "assault rifle." ✔
3. Argue over semantics of the term "terrorist" - if Muslim use it, if Christian/white use terms "lone wolf," "mentally ill," "troubled past." ✔
4. Congress does nothing and the NRA increases donations just in case. ✔
5. Wait for next one, rinse, and repeat✔
That’s well said Smart, I’m over it😐🔫
What’s happening to our country is extremely sad and pathetic.
Nice dodging, you two. But you still haven't answered the question. 😉
There shouldn't even be a question.
Clearly there should be or else you wouldn't be this afraid to answer it.
Afraid? Not falling for your juvenile trolling. Bye.
You're still dodging....
Ya so maybe just maybe we can do something about memtal health....
Glux whats this dodging you speak of?
Do you mean deflection?
And I bet you blame Muslims for terrorists too
No, I blame the terrorists for terrorist attacks.
So, you take back your support for banning Muslim immigration?
I support ending immigration altogether for at least 30 years, not just Muslims. Nice try though.
😂😂 even worse!
Either way, you hate Islam, and it's illogical.
Still incorrect 😂
Then you're contradicting everything you've said before on the subject
screw you, dems.
The shooter for the actions, Republicans for not taking action to prevent something like this.
I'm assuming that you are speaking of the GOP's opposition to gun control. Am I correct?
If so, no gun control law would have prevented this shooting. The killer in this case wasn't allowed to own weapons due to prior offenses. They were illegal guns. In case you weren't aware, criminals don't follow laws. So, you basically just used the corpses of the victims as a bully pulpit to advance your left-wing political agenda of restricting the second amendment rights of law-abiding Americans even though your argument lies on shaky ground. You also have shamelessly used the bloodshed as an excuse to attack the political party you oppose. Just like Chelsea Handler. Sad.
Actually glux, from what I read it was a legally purchased gun, where the guy lied about his dishonorable discharge on the application. This a case of a faulty background check. This is in fact a gun control related issue
Did you read that on Salon.com?
And even if he did, why does it shock you that a criminal would lie and not follow the law? You are inadvertently revealing the faulty logic of gun control laws.
You just answer questions, right Nem?
Actually, you do fill out a form, form 4473.
And, the fact that this guy legally bought a gun despite a criminal record of dishonorable discharge and assault to his wife shows the faultiness of our current system, which proves my point.
And people get the gun before the check is even completed.
Actually you can, but even if you are right, then explain how this guy and Dylan Roof bought their guns? Both were legally purchased. The Texas shooting bought his at a sporting goods store.
The information was released by the Texas governor and law enforcement officials and the Texas department of Public Safety:
I never mentioned a license. The source above is to show that government officials already released information on where it was purchased and whether it was legally purchased, and how.
The license thing is a quote by the governor. I’m not familiar with Texas license laws, beyond that you need one to carry. Anyway, the government must be on something if you’re right.
According to this article, he did legitimately (according to available data on him) pass the background check (although there *was* info that *should* have been available that would have prevented his passing it). He did *not* have a dishonorable discharge; it was "punitive," which did not in itself disqualify him from owning a gun. Details of his military conviction *should* have prevented him from owning a gun, but (according to this and numerous other things I've seen this afternoon) apparently the Air Force didn't enter the appropriate information in a database that should have triggered that conclusion. And also (according to this article) there is enough confusion in wording that it might well have been missed anyway.
Nemacyst can’t handle being wrong.
#resist was the catalyst.
The shooter is to blame for yesterday's massacre. Chelsea Handler's decision to use the bloodshed as an excuse to bash those whom she disagrees with politically is both shameful and in incredibly poor taste.
