Too much money in pharma to allow a cure to make it to market.....saw a cure in clinical trials be taken off study due to it working too well.

It’s very stupid when people say that the cure will never come because of economic reasons like the pharmaceutical industry will get killed.
You know who I are currently not helping the economy? Answer: The millions of dead people from Cancer
You know who can help the economy in the future? Answer: Millions of people that are cured of cancer and don’t die and continue to work.
Please stop with the conspiracy theories about hiding the future cure for economic reasons.

Will never happen, as long as, Big Pharma marketing expenditures exceed R&D. Same reason doctors won't prescribe proper nutrition before prescribing toxic chemicals with side effects; no incentives to do so.

There are many types of cancer, some of which can be cured now, and some that can't. I doubt there will be a cure found for every form of cancer in my lifetime, but strides have been made in some cancer treatments.

No cure for cancer? Someone should tell my 6 year old son who was cured of Leukemia.
Seriously though.. their are lots of forms of cancer and some are cured but many not. Some may never be (that leaves the patient alive).

An estimated 6 billion dollars in the“pink ribbon” category of sales/fundraising has been raised in recent years toward a cure for breast cancer. That’s billion. With a “b”. Annually...and yet tens of thousands of women die annually in this country from breast cancer.

To answer if they have or will have it YES, next question will they release it for the general public? I say NO! Population control, and big Pharma got to get paid to keep treating you, no more money if you are cured!

I think we will discover ways to possibly prevent it, or at least keep it away for longer. A cure doesn’t seem as feasible. It’s known that human cells will always develop cancer after so many years. Imagine if the very has we live on “oxygen” is slowly poisoning us resulting in cancer. Who knows

There is a cure for the most part. Do not smoke/ do drugs, practice fitness regularly, and eat more veggies and less sugar. A healthy lifestyle will help fight off disease.

I'm incredibly optimistic about Bozon therapy. 70% success rate in rats targeting and destroying cancerous cells w/o touching the healthy tissue. And that was 5 years ago.

You can't have "a" cure for an entire classification of diseases, each with differing mechanisms lol
I'm sure there will be cures for some cancers in my lifetime but expecting there to be a miracle cure-all is unrealistic

Yes, since many cures for many different things called “cancer” have already been developed in and before my lifetime and will continue to be developed.

When I was in high school decades ago, a friend said he wouldn't quit smoking because "By the time I get lung cancer, they'll have a cure". Still waiting...

Cancer isn't a single disease where you can target a bacterium or virus.
If I'm optimistic I'll see 2050 but think even then there still will be cancer deaths though I hope by 2100, genetic therapy or nanobot tech will have it pat.

Perhaps not a cure, but I think we will see more ways to manage cancer so that it gets to the point where it kills fewer and fewer people.

That's assuming there's not already a cure.... it's just a matter of what we are able to know and how much will be apparent to us as average citizens.

I install radiation therapy equipment for a living. I’ve learned a lot about cancer, and saying “cure for cancer” is no different than saying “cure for virus.” It’s a complex disease with many different forms and methods of treatment. Chemo and radiation only work because they also kill everything else around the cancer. The differences between prostate, breast, lung, bone, colon, and every other cancer are so vast, and even the differences between prostate patient A and prostrate patient B can mean different methods of treatment. There is no such thing as a “cure for cancer,” nor will there ever be. There may be a “cure for a particular strand of cervical cancer,” but not a cure for every type of cancer.

Hmmm... there will never be one direct cure to cancer, yet I confidently believe that most forms of the hundreds of forms of cancer will be cured or close to cured by the time I die. With the new advancements in the Chimeric Antigen Receptor treatment, I believe rare forms of cancer will be easier to target.
