Women: Could/would you ever be a doula or midwife? Men: Do you find childbirth more beautiful or disgusting?
I had two c sections and never experienced labor so I’d not have a clue on how to help someone through.
They have training courses for it :)
That would be an awesome
Experience to help a mom through it!
Beautiful if it’s my own child, disgusting otherwise
I've been in the room for three of them, and though "disgusting" is a stretch, it is kind of gross. But when your baby pops out, it's beautiful again. Thinking of the baby makes me want to turn back the clock to those days.😅
Those babies aren't beautiful when they come out. They need to relax about five seconds before the beauty is there. Those "birth" moments they are the shape of a jar.
I would have agreed with that until my first daughter popped out. We were amazed that she was actually pretty from the moment she entered the world, knowing that babies usually look like prunes, for a few minutes anyway. The next two kids were more typical looking at the beginning. At 20 now, she's still that way. Of course, I'm completely unbiased.😎
After 2-3 seconds, they are all adorable. Sounds like yours is just that much better looking than the rest of us.
More amazing than beautiful.
I’d be one of those guys who faint seeing that.
I find it beautiful and magical. Nothing in this world compares to seeing your child come out of your wife.
I voted no, because I have no aptitude or interest in medical stuff. However, I most definitely do NOT find childbirth disgusting.
I wouldn’t call it disgusting but it was most definitely not beautiful.
Being a doula is defenitely on my bucket list 💖
I had an exercise trainer once who was one. It sounded like a beautiful, fulfilling thing to do. The best would be to be a nurse midwife.
