True but criminals, let alone madmen, don't give a hoot about what the media say about them, especially not a mass shooter who wasn't in the focus of the media before his rampage.
Actually you’re partially right. Criminals, such as big ones actually do care about their public appeareance. That’s why some of te most heinous crimes were committed so they can become a B-list celebrity to the media, I mean look at Charles Manson.
