The Government death panel, in the U.K., is refusing non-emergency surgeries for those that are deemed “unhealthy” by said U.K. death panel.

I have worked at a surgery center here in the US for several years. We turned down people who were overweight for non-emergency surgeries. It's too risky. The doctor puts them on a plan to lose weight so they can become eligible for surgery. So, this idea is happening in the US with private providers and insurers.
