The other day I had a customer looking at jeans, and I suggested the ones I was wearing (I paid $0 for them, but customers pay WAY more than that). She said “oh, you look really good in those!” She didn’t end up getting them, but I enjoyed helping her nonetheless!

My mother remembered my birthday. I was amazed! (Mom had a bad stroke last spring with serious brain damage)

How is she doing, in general? It’s a good sign that she remembered your birthday.

My grandma has Alzheimer’s. Usually doesn’t know what today’s date is, but still remembers when everyone’s birthdays are. It’s pretty amazing, really.

Corny, that’s very interesting. That may be the same as Mom. I don’t think she can remember days of the week or months of the year. I was really surprised about the birthday.

Grandma, it’s a mixed bag. She isn’t a whole lot better, but she is doing her therapy and seems a bit stronger. Living has been a bit easier since I was finally able to get her moved to a private bedroom. Even better, she has a new friend living in the same house. They look after each other. She doesn’t want me to stay with her long. She gets tired easily.

It’s difficult for both of you. Hoping for the best possible outcome, whatever that may be.

Actually, that was for cat and your mother, as well as corny and your grandmother.

My husband told me he loved me like he loved the 20 year old girl that I was. I’m in bed with stomach pain and diarrhea, and am decades past 20. ( we were engaged, broke up, and after my 30 year marriage to someone else, and devastating divorce, we are finally married )

I taught a Bible Class this morning, some class members thanked me for a good class, I thanked them, but told them it’s God & H.S. doing it, not me !

Yesterday we were having dinner with some friends and my wife actually said that I'm better than her at math. Probably it sounds kinda nerdy but it made me happy. Plus, we both love math.

I love it when that happens. It makes me want to spread that joy to other people around me. Life is so much better when we look for the good in others. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have a German Bundeswehr parka that I'll wear sometimes. I don't think a day has gone by without one or two complements from total strangers. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy lol

That’s great! I read in another poll, how you took her for a ride to see the fall colors.

We had a special program at the synagogue this morning. When my husband and I walked through the door, we were greeted by the maintenance man, who was there to help set up.

Now, you need a little bit of background here. He is a big tease and usually likes to kid me, in some way. So, I was prepared for the usual banter.

This morning, however, he said, “When you walk through that door, you always have such a nice smile. You brighten everybody’s day.”

That sure brightened MY day!
