One thing we all agree on, is that America has a problem. Is it the people or politicians?
Follow up question, based on the answer.
People have the power to elect the politicians. So the flaw is people.
But it sure isn't now
You'd think humans would learn that massive empires never work. But the few crave power and the many crave "belonging". We managed for tens of thousands of years in tribes and villages (some still do). Government is still a new idea in the scale of history. Maybe one day we'll get it right
Except that I personally over-think *everything,* even the 'silly' polls! :p
I tried to be "non partisan".
Sounds like Ancient Rome, Greece, etc.
Unless we *are* truly unique & will indeed redefine history (again;) we are certainly in the 'complacent' stage and we know what comes next historically...
I watched millions of Egyptians create change in their government by almost simply protesting non-stop. We can't seem to get of the couch, put down our iPhones or stop going to Walmart. I don't have much hope for this inevitable outcome.
A very tough question indeed. We have become a lazy and complacent society which allows our politicians to control us at the behest of the super wealthy. It's been building this way since the Great Depression and doesn't seem to be slowing much.
I'd much rather have a difficult question, yes.
I like this style of question, as it requires more than a snap judgement answer.
Oh good lord, another impossible question. =:-)
Ugh.. nearly Impossible question. Like the chicken or the egg.
We are responsible for the votes, but we are also lied to & aren't even sure if the votes are accurate. Just ugh...
Politicians being controlled by whomever pays their campaign bills.
