Show of Hands

In Russia (no this isn't another trivia question), grades are given by numbers 5 is roughly an A, 4 a B, 3 a C and 2 a D. No one gets a 1 (F). 3, 4 and 5 are passing. Do you think this is better, worse or kind of the same as the USA? Why?
