When you go to a restaurant, do you typically ask for water or order a different drink?
If they serve alcohol I'll ask for a glass of wine, otherwise just water.
I usually get water. If not, sweet tea.
Water or beer
I get a Coke. If I'm already paying $15-20 for a meal, I'd rather pony up for something I like than try to pinch pennies with water. I don't eat out often enough for it to break the bank. I'm very picky about my water, too. If it tastes weird to me (which is often) I won't drink it anyway.
Depends what I'm in the mood for and what I'm doing. I don't feel like having to pee all the time. Especially in some of those nasty ass public bathrooms
Water's free y'all
Water unless I'm drinking (alcohol). Never soda or lemonade or things like that, really.
Water or pink lemonade😋
Always tea with lemon.
A dollar. I keep a few handy in my car. When it's very hot, I sometimes give a cold bottle of water too.
Really depends on where I am. If I'm in the northern united states, then water. If I'm literally anywhere else, I'll get juice or sweet tea. Northern united states have terrible drinks. Piss water tea and a bunch of soda.
I always thought not ordering another drink besides water was weird. I guess I'm the weird one.
It's cheap to get water but why go to a restaurant and be a tight ass? I used to think I was cheating the system in college by getting water with lemon and adding sugar. The only person I was cheating was the waitress.
I get a water when nobody gets a soacial drink. I feel bad with a coke when everybody has a water.
Me too. Makes me feel like a fatty.
why is gin not an option??
Because gin is juniper bush vomit water.
I planted a juniper yesterday
Water. I only really drink water.
Only other iff Im getting an alcoholic drink or a coffee. But even then I still get a water with it, there is no way I go out to eat and there isnt a water for me. I have no idea how people stand going without.
I hardly ever drink water
How!!! I feel naked without my water bottle lol
Im the water with lemon guy.
If we are waiting for ppl I'll get a bourbon on the rocks.
I used to get a Coke back when they were a dollar or two but now it seems like many restaurants charge $3, which just gets to the point of not being worth it.
Is there alcohol in water?
There can be
Most of my restauranting is lunch with coworkers, and since we can't drink alcohol we usually all stick with water.
I never go out to eat just to get water.. Usually I get a fancy alcoholic beverage I'd never make at home or at the very least soda.. Water is too boring
Lot of cheapos on here. Drink water at home people. Get a soft drink when u go out to eat once and a while. Have fun.
Drink water at restaurants where it is free, drink other beverages at home where they are cheap.
Come on- the point of eating out isn't to be a cheapskate!
Drinking water at a restaurant is boring!
I get water, cause my dad is paying and I have 5 siblings
Why does that matter? Lol!
Sb is that a serious question? How can that be a serious question...
Yes, drinks can be $10 or more with a family at a restaurant.
If they had more calorie free options I would get a drink.
But most only carry Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke.
And those are filled with literal poison so that's not a good option either!
Water or beer.
I'm very surprised 50% said they would take water.
Why? It's cheaper and healthier
Drink. I don't drink plain water.
Water with lemon!
Unsweet iced tea or Coke
Always water, I can barely afford the food as it is
Usually iced tea
I typically have water & something else.
This is the desert; hydration is important!
Amen! Im in the midwest but still really on top of hydration. Its painful to see someone with a dehydrating drink and no water!
Usually iced tea with lemon.
I never get water.
I love water, especially with hot days
Water or unsweetened iced tea.
Water with lemon, squeeze the lemon & add sweetener & you have lemonade🍋!
Water and a 🍋
Water + drink
Lunch or dinner: Generally just water. Occasionally a local stout or porter with dinner, especially at a brewpub.
Breakfast: Sometimes decaf coffee (in addition to water).
Never soft drinks or juice.
Mostly water, occasionally sweet tea
I ask for water + Coke most of the time.
