No, the person manipulating the child should be tried for treason. The child should be offered therapy and asylum.

Your train of thought is disturbing

The child isn't manipulated, or is manipulated only to a level where we would execute an adult for treason. Also it isn't disturbing, it is more disturbing that so many people are in support of letting someone who commits treason go, child or not treason is treason.

You sound like you'd fit into a society like North Korea.
Treason should be justified under a corrupt leader. It's an act of patriotism if it is nonviolent and for the greater population rather than a few politicians.

The crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. Where in that does it say that treason benefits society?

It's the reason we have the second amendment right?

I find it unlikely for a minor to commit any sort of high treason. So yes, although unlikely.
Is there a precedent for this?

ISIS already uses children, what if children gave information to ISIS causing the deaths of hundreds of Americans. Should they children be executed?

I'm not sure what you mean. I figured you were talking about American children. What kind of intelligence can children access and provide to ISIS?
I'm not even really decided, so I'd like to know more about what you're talking about/implying

You know this is getting too complicated, scratch the whole ISIS thing. If a child knowingly commits a treasonous act threatening nation security and possibly killing people, should they be tried and executed for treason.

Yes. If they are tried and found guilty.

Staggeringly scary that only 15% of people are in support of something that should be near 100%.

I mean I wouldn't go that far. It's so hypothetical. It would likely be different in a real-life scenario and I imagine a very contentious debate would ensue.

Yeah, but it is one of those ones where you know what everyone is getting hung up on, but it is nowhere near outweighing the crime.
