Should America do more to fight climate change?
No it is all natural and giving trillions of dollars to this hoax is a waste of money.
We should pump more CO2 into the air so plants would grow better so we have feed for large tasty animals.
I don't think that we should switch to renewables too quickly as not to shock the economy. I also think that the government should try and stay out of the issue because the government tends to mess things up.
During the last ice age, caused by climate change, there were no coal power plants, no oil powered plants, no cars and no heaters. But guess what? It happened anyway.
These poll results convince me there are way more Libertarians on SOH than in real life.
We are one of the worlds worst offenders. If everyone were as terrible with the environment as we were, the world would not be able to sustain. We are destroying our planet- it's our fault. This shouldn't be a partisan issue
Even China is better than us for renewables. It's pathetic. Germany is huge, and they have lots of renewables.
I really hate that people buy into the lies that big oil spreads. There is no good reason at all for us to continue on this path except for.......... wait for it......... money🙌🙄
Definitely. Big corporations are opposing saving our planet! It's evil. And the Republicans oppose it too.
Everyones always on about "these environmental restrictions are way over the top!" But like the only people affected are billionaires disappointed they can't bulldoze a national park to buy their fifth yacht
Nuclear is safer for the environment than renewables
Nuclear is OK, but renewables are better. What's important is that coal, oil, and natural gas GTFO.
Nuclear is the future and is much safer to use
Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, Fukushima, SL-1, Kysthym. Yes it kills fewer people than coal, but it is worse than renewables.
It is not. When the accidents happen it is more damaging than one wind turbine or one solar panel, but overall it is safer. There have been roughly 500 nuclear accidents, which are down to human error. Solar and wind kill thousands of birds each year and that isn't something we can control. Nonetheless, renewable energy cannot support the world's population unlike nuclear.
You obviously haven't been to China or Russia
China is the worse polluter on Earth and isn't doing anything to mitigate it.
Both China and India are already on track to exceed their commitments under the Paris agreement
Yeah, I've seen those German renewables, sitting still for days on end when there's no wind. Guess what supplies the energy when they do that? The dirtiest almost-coal imaginable, plus now they have to pay for both the wind turbines and the conventional plants. OOoohh!
And their commitments are? Much of nothing.
