In 1898, Bayer marketed a cough medicine containing what drug?
It was heroin and it was targeted for children in some ads
Which I like to use to remind people that currently illicit drugs were sold OTC by legitimate corporations, and yet the world was fine. Now they still sell heroin, they just package them in pills and get them overprescribed by doctors who take kickbacks from them. And then lovely citizens who just wanted to manage some pain get addicted to these legal drugs that are pushed by doctors paid by the pharmaceutical companies, and then when their addiction is full fledged and they can't get any more "legal" heroin, they go to the black market and end up dying.
Yay the war on drugs!
Unfortunately that is very true. The Pharmaceutical Sales people actually provide a luncheon for the Doctor and his Staff about once a month. It seems like a kickback to me. It's no wonder that prescription drugs are so expensive in this Country!
At the hospital I overheard someone organizing a talk and dinner. The Pfizer person that was being pitched said they would get a table for $10,000. Just like that, no big deal.
Do you know they were part of the Holocaust? We tried not to buy from them or Bic. Cocaine by the way.
It was heroin.
Yes, Bayer was a German company.
Damn, I guessed cocaine...😔
I guess Codeine is a derivative of Heroine, I confused them and said Cocaine.
Cocaine WAS an ingredient in early Coca-Cola. Original Coca-Cola had a very small amount of cocaine in a six-ounce drink, about 4.3 milligrams.
Stop cheating lol
