Should the US Defense spending be at least 2% of our GDP?

Yes, especially affluent countries like Germany.
NATO efficiently protected them in the cold war.
They can easily afford it.

Our military outlays should be much higher than 2% of GDP, which is actually below average for global military spending as a percentage of GDP. The United States currently spends 3.3% of our GDP on defense, so reducing that below 2% would require precipitous cuts.

Those who say no, that this amount is too high, also are saying we must leave NATO. This is required by law.
