Today, President Trump met with the Pope. Should Presidents meet with religious leaders?

Isn't the Pope also a head of State?

Also I'm thinking lots of conservative Catholics out there voted for him.

He is.
Vatican city is a sovereign state and the Pope is head of it.

As long as the religious leader gets an equal amount of ice cream or whatever dessert is served if they eat together.

CNN said it first. Trump was secretly baptized by the Pope and is now signed up for free catechism class at the Vatican University. Collusion between the Vatican and Trump is being investigated by The CIA, NSA, FBI, and the deep state. CNN also reported that Trump will be granted papal dispensation in obtaining a divorce from Milania because she brushed away his hand.

Of course. The Pope is one of the most powerful and influential individual in the world. It's a good idea to have a good relation and an open dialogue with him.

As long as they are already a political ruler/leader, then yes. For example, the Pope is the monarch of the Vatican city state.

Yes.
It's possible that even Trump was impressed by the Vatican and the dominant figure of the Pope, could be a good thing.

As long as the president doesn't say everyone must be catholic or limit the free exercise of other religions, I don't see any problem with it.

In addition to being a religious leader, the Pope is also Head of State for Vatican City. Perfectly fine to meet with the Pope.

Whether you want to admit it or not, religious values are most people's moral compass. It's important for the President to be in touch with religious leaders to understand their viewpoints and problems that people are faced with.

I agree. Good comment.

A president should not be meeting with:

1.Islamists who fund Jihad against America (Saudi Arabia)

2.Jewish Zionists who fundamentally drive the Non-White invasion into Europe (Israel)

3. Open Border Anti-Pope who worships having Western Culture erased from history.

Wow. Not even to negotiate a treaty? Should we just leave that to the ambassador?
