If approved, President Trump's budget proposal would cut funding for student aid and overhaul the student loan program. Do you approve of this?

Hopefully the overhaul of the student loan program includes making it legal for private banks to issue them again.

Heck yes. College costs will continue to go up so long as the Feds are plowing tons of cash into worthless degrees.

It's almost like a policy that considers economics!

If student loans are practically unlimited to students, more students will go to college on debt (even ones who shouldn't). This influx of students requires campuses to raise prices to cover additional costs of new buildings, teachers, administration etc.

Less student loans available, means students with average grades will gravitate towards trade programs and become plumbers, roofers, carpenters, home builders etc. - all understaffed occupations. No debt(or minimal), quality pay.

I think your premise of "student loans are practically unlimited to students" is flawed.

Please make a counter argument then, because to the best of my knowledge and personal experience as long as you are enrolled in a school you can get a student loan.

The student loan program belongs in the private sector. Look st the increase in overall loan debt since the government took over the program under Obama

College debt is massive. This will be the next financial crisis..
Loans should be in the private sector..
I remember paying for my college.
