Based on @ColoneWest 's question. Last year at the shooting at Roseburg community college they chose not to mention the name of the murderer on TV. Or other news media. Denying him the notoriety. I think it's good not to mention names.
Mixed feeling about this, but I generally agree. Do
Some reading about the people who commit this type of crime, they study each other and try to one up each other, so notoriety is obviously a motivating factor for them.
Used to be a person would have felt shame at commuting such a crime. Now a person feels famous. Bizarre.
Serious tough question.
I think punishment is the only deterrent against crazy.
Execute the guy. Lethal injection. Within WEEKS
But use A video to convince the public that his head was placed in a slowly closed vice while he screamed incessantly until his eyes popped out and his brains followed. That might discourage the next crazy guy who decided to pick up a gun and go to school.
Sorry, TQ but, you got a name, I want it, catch them and throw the switch. Tell St Pete.
Obama gave him notoriety by saying 'we must politicize gun control'
He was not very well received in Roseburg. People protested his arrival.
I'm torn , I can see both sides.
Stupid PC logic !
If that did this is about as redneck as you come. Totally against gun control just did not want the murders name to be mentioned by the media as that is the goal of murderers like this
