Many Republicans are willing to accept that Fox News at times is biased, in general do Democrats typically accept that CNN, NYTimes, and the Washington Post are biased? (Comments are appreciated)

The many Democrats are intelligent enough to know which news outlets are more liberal and which are more conservative. I think most of the educated citizen do too. There isn't any brainwashing occurring here except for those who don't keep up with what happening politically and only think about who to vote for shortly before election time.

The Dems are large drinkers of the CoolAid and can no longer entertain any portion of accepted blame for this mess.

Wrong argument. It's not bias vs. non bias. It's truth vs. BS.

CNN is beyond biased, they are pushing an agenda. It is propaganda.

I think the vast majority of people regardless of party know there is bias in most media.

Yes, Bert, Democrats and Liberals understand that every media outlet has a bias. Just as every person has a bias. There is nothing wrong with having a bias as long as you keep an open mind and search out opposing viewpoints.

Good on you. I am looking for people to agree that there is biased, many people who I have spoken to refuse to accept it and instead deflect to Fox News. I disagree that all Dems and liberals accept it

Not really. My brother is far left and he refuses to acknowledge that NYT has a bias. He is a smart person, but he simply can't see the bias. I think it's mostly because he won't explore any right-leaning news media so he can't relate it to other sources.

He also called The Economist "right wing" when it's actually left-of-center-libertarian and is in fact the most-centrist news publication by readership (I saw a study which showed it was the most universally read publication for both progressives and conservatives).

All news is biased. Some news media is blatantly biased because it gets them more viewers/readers, some news media strives to be as objective as possible. Unfortunately, more people prefer an emotional political rant than an analysis of both sides. They choose entertainment over substance and it's usually entertainment that confirms their beliefs.

It's impossible to report the news without bias. What you report, how much space/time you give a story, what order you present stories, and what you do or don't include are all a result of bias.

Yeah, but objective coverage was once an ideal, and while ideals may be unreachable they are important, maybe the more so because they are unreachable.

For too many people, objective = supports my beliefs

Washington Post because it is a conservative sight.

So you only accept that it's biased because you interpret it as conservative?

I don't see the big bias in the others, so they are good sources to get general info. I trust CNN even more now since they debunked FOX email leak, causing them to retracted it.

So you refuse to look at the source because it's conservative? There's photos of CNN's lies in the article

It isn't lies, it is confirmed that Trump is the most unpopular president in his first days in office.

The info graph is about media coverage of Trump and CNN show a completely misleading infograph which was about a question that was different from the one described when showing it. It is a lie

It isn't a lie, it is a confirmed fact:". The graph is on the approval rating of Trump in news outlets. Fox is the only one with a good positive view, but that is most likely due to them attracting more conservatives due to their bias. The others are a little exaggerated, but give a general idea.

Except the study wasn't done on his approval rating which they claimed. And they wouldn't have had to remove the clip if they were telling the truth. Keep in mind this is only the most recent fabrication pulled by this tabloid. Personally surprised a big Bernie supporter like you would defend the news corp who sabotaged Bernie Sanders campaign.

I don't like that they didn't cover him enough, but that's the only bad thing they did to him.

I don't know why the removed it when what they say is true. The other media outlets are exaggerated because they are watch by more people critical of Trump. Despite this, it still gives the general idea that Trump has the lowest approval rating than any president in their first days in office.
