Have you made any diet/fitness progress in 2017? (If so, share in the comments!)
Cardio 3 to 5 times a week, gym 3 or 4 times a week, changed how I eat; lost 12 pounds and in much better shape since January.
I've lost 15 pounds give or take since February.
I have lost 20 pounds since October of last year, and 3.4 pounds in the last week with the program I just started.
I've simplified and cut out a lot of fat. I switched out greek salad for vegetable juice, traded rice and beans with almonds and raisins for just baked beans. Swapped chips for popcorn. Stopped chocolate and started fat-free peanut butter with banana. Back to long workouts despite losing all that time for productivity.
Popcorn is the bomb. Healthy, fills you up, and low calorie.
I'm on a low carb diet. I've lost 30 pounds since January
Until recent times, that would have been seen as alarming...
TOPS is my diet support group. I've been doing a lot of walking. We were going to go in a half marathon. But my hips of been acting up too much. We walked nearly every day.
Yes, just in the past week!
Hubby and I have never been able to stick to ANY exercise program. But we've walked 3/4 of a mile on 8 of the last 10 days! The only reason we missed those 2 days was because it was raining!
Good for you I'm happy to hear that
I working on getting back to my original birth weight. 👶🏼
Nope, I was suppose to start today, but my family was like lets go to the movies.
I've lost 17 pounds over the last 2+ months mainly by running again and completely giving up diet soda.
That's good to hear!
Set a new personal record last Friday on an interval rowing workout. 4316 meters in 16 minutes.
I've lost 25 lbs I have a lot more to go.
Did a lot of lie-downs. There are no reps, it's done once and results in a prolonged horizontal position ended after many hours by a get-up.
Been getting some hardcore soccer goin
My husband and I fasted during the entirety of lent. We felt good, we lost weight, we felt more spiritually connected, it was great! Then lent ended and we stopped fasting, I'd like to do something similar though as a regular habit.
After 24 years I finally got down to my pre-baby weight from 1992. I only had 8 more pounds to lose, but it feels great having it off!
Nice! I'll have to show my mother this comment...her goal is to get down to her pre-baby weight too.
It isn't easy. I'm probably a little older than your mom. But, at our age the pounds don't come of easily. I hope she is successful!
BTW... Your new picture looks good!
She's always had a tough time losing weight. And for the past few months she's been commuting half way across the state, so she's eating at restaurants on the road a lot, which makes things even tougher. But she's making progress.
You were a baby in 1992? 😜
😁😁 Ha! While I might look and feel that young (well, in my dreams anyway), I was not a baby in 1992. But, I am now at my pre-PREGNANCY weight of 118-120.
Yes! I've been exercising 5-6 days/week every week! Feeling great 😊
I'm doing 5 right now...6 requires crazy dedication. Good for you!
Thank you! I've been going at it for almost 6 months now. ☺️
My 6th day usually ends up being an "active rest" day. Under 30 minutes and just yoga or stretching.
Lost 10......gained 5 back......so far.
1 pound a month, net, not bad!
I started lifting at the end of March. Today, I looked at my SOH profile pic (from February) and couldn't believe how tiny my arms were. So, I uploaded a new pic, in which I look much improved.
Still a lot of work left to do, though.
lookin good, Cole!
