OK.....guess I pass.
I don't live near a coast and I hate people.
I'm from NYC, attended fancy-pants uni, grew up eating sushi, seeing theater and traveling to Europe. I think Fox anchors and viewers might hate-masturbate while dreaming of people like me.
Cool. I worked hard and sent three kids to university's, been to Africa and vote Republican cause I grew up poor and didn't do all that before I went to "uni".
Coastal for sure
I'm coastal but have no connection to the elitists who rule California.
Well I'm 2 miles from the ocean so I'm coastal don't think I'm very elite.
Coastal, yes. Elite, no.
I find the term laughable.....and given my poor white trash upbringing I could never see myself that way. However.....others see me today as upper class, White & living near the coast....so stereotype as you will...makes no difference in my life.
You're not the least bit of an elitist.
I'm just an average all-American guy with a deep love for God, country, family, freedom, fried food, the desert, and rock music.
I love all of those too. Except for I like dessert more than desert.
Coastal white trash.
Uh, no. I do live on the coast, but I am not an elitest!
I'm a South Jersey farm girl.
Nope, I'm a down-to-earth midwestern girl. 💁🏻
That's one emoji I've never understood. Do people actually make that motion with their hand IRL?
Not that I've ever seen...I just thought it fit 😂
Haha, it does fit. I just think it's funny that an emoji of a gesture that no one does in the real world has come to mean a bunch of different things online, depending on the context.
Southern man, middle class, trying hard to keep the boat afloat.
I don't think of myself as a coastal elite, but when somebody from middle America uses that term, they're probably thinking of somebody like me. I certainly fit all of the general characteristics.
Hell no, who wants to be labeled that?
I wouldn't deny it if someone described me that way, but I don't publicly identify that way.
