It was never a valid accusation; no "still" about it.

It was never valid.

It isn't now, wasn't then and won't be in the future.

Ever consider the possibility that the Seth Rich story is a false flag operation by the Russians to cover their tracks?

Consider: The Russians realize their attempt to undermine the election has been discovered. They find a low level DNC guy that would plausibly have access to the material they've stolen. They kill the guy and plant stories in the American press that he's actually the source of the leaks.

You're a nutcase for suggesting they assassinated him.

You mean the one where the PI hired by the family went on camera as said that he was investigating a connection and later recanted?

No, pulling a story when a key witness does a 180 is called being responsible. But keep calling everything that doesn't fit your agenda "fake news".

Sure, we know that Russia used witting and unwitting American persons as part of their operation to meddle in our elections.

By that logic US media would be considered meddling in elections as well

We have a long history of meddling in other countries' elections.

In what context would the US media be serving the goals of the Russian disinformation program?

Look at what the US media did to Modi as an example

Yea. Obama didn't want him to win, look into how the media treated him at the time and even afterwards

So you've moved on from Russian interference is fake news to it's justified cuz we do it too. Interesting

The 'Russian interference' at this point is a blanket term which means nothing. It could mean Russia hacked the DNC, now people are saying Russian news sources posted misleading news; which will be the backup of when the Russia hacking doesn't pan out. You can't patrol media unless you want to end up like China and create a great firewall which censors out media deemed unacceptable

I've always thought American media has been apathetic or even positive towards Modi. In fact, they've done very little compared to international media to cover his sectarian record and the dangers of the Hindu nationalist movement.

Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention to it at the time, but I didn't think Obama did much to promote the Congress Party either.

A lot of people with a lot at stake are doing their twisted best to bring down this president.

That in and of itself is enough to make me forgive Trump's misstatements and naivety and stick with him for the moment. If the power mongers don't want him, something about him is desirable. Simple as that. Let's find out what it is. Ignore the ignos and Hate America Firsters and let's see why they despise him so much.

I have to reluctantly agree. The best thing about Trump (who I don't like) is how much people hate him and how he brings out their deplorable behavior, revealing their true nature.
