De-extinction/the science of reviving species that have been lost/has moved from the realm of sci-fi to something that is now nearly feasible. Some types of lost mammals/birds/frogs may soon be able to be revived through de-extinction technologies.

Approve with caution. I would like them to concentrate on recently extinct species instead of bringing back long-gone species which may have a greater unpredictable environmental impact, either good or bad.

NO! People will rationalize their bad environmental stewardship practices on the idea that they get do-overs. Our actions need real consequences so we can learn.
