The Goldwater rule forbids psychiatrists from diagnosing public figures who they have not personally evaluated. Some psychiatrists who oppose President Trump want to repeal this rule. Do psychiatrists actually have the ability to diagnose from afar?

They just want to use the 25th amendment on Trump. Entirely political.

Doesn't take a psychiatrist to see that Trump has issues.

They're at least more qualified than all the "doctors" who diagnosed Hillary with random illnesses from afar. You can analyze someone by watching behaviors and studying their words without ever speaking to them directly.

If the person in question has done enough stuff that they've seen to reach a diagnosis.

This RESTRICTION on psychiatrists is incredibly limiting the public's ability to learn about candidates.
