Mesa may become the 1st city in Az to incarcerate misdemeanor offenders w/ a private prison company, a move city leaders say could save $2 million annually. In the potential contract the City pays LESS if they provide them w/> 200 inmates a day.

They should call it the Meesa Plan. Because of the town's name, and because it's worse than Jar Jar.

I was so surprised by the fact that they monetarily incentivize more arrest I have pasted the passage hear to make sure I was reading it right. "The city would pay CoreCivic a $35,000 monthly transportation fee and $68 per inmate, per day — with the ability to decrease the daily rate if the city has more than 200 inmates per day."
