So when making my latest poll, I tried putting an emoji into my answer section. I already had 11 characters put in, so I thought was good. However, it told me I was over the limit. This hasn't happened before. Am I going crazy!
Emoji can take up more than the "space" of one character - some more than others. Try using them somewhere where you can watch the character count change, like the poll text area itself or the comment window, and plan accordingly for your answer options.
Many emoji use 1-4 characters. This one 🤾🏼♀️ uses 7 - probably because it's one of the emoji with multiple options. This one 👪 uses 2; this one 👩👩👦 uses 8, as does this one 👨👨👦, but this one 👩👦and this one 👨👦 use 5 each.
Speaking of answer options, I wasn't sure which to pick. You're clearly not going crazy, but a simple "No" would have been a more comfortable choice.
