What is cooking? I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and they had gluten-free batter covered fish. I have an air fryer so I'm having fish n chips. Maybe no chips. What are you having?
That sounds great! I'll have to find those next time I'm at TJ's.
We're having homemade broccoli and bacon soup with potatoes and lots of puréed veggies.
*Hopefully*, salmon. Bear went salmon fishing on a boat with some friends. Hopefully he'll come home with at least one huge salmon.
Otherwise, probably snack on fresh tomatoes, cheese, an apple & peanut butter & maybe some gf crackers... who knows. He's been up since about 6am so will be toast when he drags in... may not have any salmon till tomorrow regardless... assuming he does come home with some.
If we didn't live clear across the country from each other. I would make homemade taco shells. For fish I zest lemon. And add that to the taco shell. So good.
It's a little container where the air gets pretty hot and the air circulates. You get a good fried taste and texture without all the fat. There are quite a few of them out there. The one I have you control the temperature. My daughter loves it when I do her burritos in it. They taste just like they're deep-fried. So I will get crispy crust on my fish.
I've been looking into this air fryer idea and considering getting one. But is it basically like a convection oven? I was reading about that in reviews. Could you make fried chicken with it?
