What is cooking? I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and they had gluten-free batter covered fish. I have an air fryer so I'm having fish n chips. Maybe no chips. What are you having?
I had wine (trader joes 2 buck chuck) and half a loaf of French bread. I'm broke and because I'm in school I can't get benefits lol.
I was sick on Thursday (still am, actually), so my dinner was saltines, applesauce, Pedialyte, and Gatorade, with a side of Phenergan.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you get better soon. When you hang around those little germ carriers you tend to get stuff.
I had (leftover) homemade lasagna.
I love leftover lasagna.
Chipotle chili atop a baked potato woth sour cream and some tortilla chips! 🌶
Grilled cheese sandwich with Tony Packos sweet and hot pickles, fresh asparagus from my garden, and a bowl of raspberries.
My sister made a fantastic salad for dinner. Yummy!
Oh, yum! I had a grain bowl with kale and avocado (I didn't make it, I got it at the place across from my store!) it was super delicious.
I love there pasta dishes.
Homemade shepherds pie 😊
One of my favorites. I made it for the day after Christmas. We pigged down on it.
I think I will have the leftover beef and zucchini stirfry that I made the other night.
chicken in a garlic alfredo sauce with sundried tomatoes, fresh spinach and parmesan cheese on top of linguini
Chicken and roasted brussel sprouts.
That sounds great! I'll have to find those next time I'm at TJ's.
We're having homemade broccoli and bacon soup with potatoes and lots of puréed veggies.
Jambalaya with shrimp, pepper, tomato, corn, broccoli, and sausage.
*Hopefully*, salmon. Bear went salmon fishing on a boat with some friends. Hopefully he'll come home with at least one huge salmon.
Otherwise, probably snack on fresh tomatoes, cheese, an apple & peanut butter & maybe some gf crackers... who knows. He's been up since about 6am so will be toast when he drags in... may not have any salmon till tomorrow regardless... assuming he does come home with some.
I know how that goes.
Leftovers of Chinese lion head and Spanish rice.
Tonight I'm making lemon chicken and gravy with rice and asparagus on the side.
Sounds so good I love asparagus

If we didn't live clear across the country from each other. I would make homemade taco shells. For fish I zest lemon. And add that to the taco shell. So good.
I'm having new potatoes. I got some herbs from my garden and some butter and I'm putting them all in the crockpot. The fish will be air fried.
I love Trader Joe's! I hope your fish is yummy.
I'm really looking forward to it just made some amazing homemade tartar sauce.
I'm pretty sure it will be taco soup, because we went to the cheese and chips store earlier today for cheese to put on it and chips to eat it with.
At the risk of sounding very naïve is there such a place at a store that has cheese and chips? Or did you go to Costco?
QFC. They have other groceries there too, but we didn't need anything else except a Medina sandwich for lunch and some apple fritters for snacks.
I'm having a huge salad with cottage cheese on top and popcorn.
Crock pot pork chops smothered in seasonings, mashed potatoes and green beans.
I was at a friend's house and they made very delicious spring rolls and banana bread.
Yum! I love spring rolls.
What's an "air fryer"?
It's a little container where the air gets pretty hot and the air circulates. You get a good fried taste and texture without all the fat. There are quite a few of them out there. The one I have you control the temperature. My daughter loves it when I do her burritos in it. They taste just like they're deep-fried. So I will get crispy crust on my fish.
I've been looking into this air fryer idea and considering getting one. But is it basically like a convection oven? I was reading about that in reviews. Could you make fried chicken with it?
Beef and soy cheddar panini's and parsnip chips. We have frozen grapes for dessert.
