Russia officially denies arming, financing, or providing any material support for the Taliban, but acknowledges that it has an intelligence-sharing relationship with the Taliban as part of its efforts to defeat Daesh cells in Afghanistan. The top US general in Afghanistan has described the War in Afghanistan as a stalemate and is expected to request more troops soon.
