Do you think that American politics will continue their extremist shifts to the right and left respectively or do you think it'll shift back to the center within the next 50 years?

I think the Conservatives will become the alt-right memers and the Liberals will become socialist (as they are already becoming).

If by polarizing then yes, it will.

It is natural that as the internal conradictions of our current way of life build up there will be those who seek to escape the cause of crises either by revolutionary or reactionary means. The reactionaries will be enabled by the counter-revolutionaries and thus our polarization.

Yes, the Democrats are not left-wing, but use accurate terms and don't call them neoliberal. Neoliberal is farther right than the GOP, and contains ideas in direct opposition to the Democratic platform.

Me too. The good thing is the upcoming generations tend to lean more centrist. Such as Gen Z with its mass of right libertarians
