They're literally like the most opposite ideas. Fascism is a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, militantly anti-communist, and incredibly racist. Communism is liberation from the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. It is the elevation of the proletariat, the people, as the ruling class. Of course the people should be the rulers. Fascism oppresses the proletariat. The revolutionary stage of socialism, the transitional period, should be suppressing the bourgeoisie and bourgeois ideology. You can't just call all repression the same thing. Fascism represses the people. Socialism represses the slave owners of the people.
