A friend of mine posted a music video yesterday. Today, it has over 400,000 views. Have you ever participated in anything seen/heard by over 100,000 people?
Wow that was really good!!!
In my teens, I did promotion work for some of my friends' bands who gained a little popularity in the local scene. And sometimes I'd work merch. If that kind of indirect involvement counts then yeah. One of them started touring for a bit so they probably reached that many people.
Does extra in Mockingjay count? And that was a good song! :)
Congratulations to your friend
WOW! Just WOW! What a powerful song, Ron! Chills and tears streaming down my face! Makes me want to be in a worship service with them! I crave that kind of worship! Do you have a direct link (not through FB) for this? I tried to share it to my FB page and it wouldn't do it. And if it's on youtube, I'd like to put it in my fave songs list. Thanks so much for sharing!
I checked with my friend. She said that it gets released next Tuesday. It is available for preorder today on iTunes.
No Longer Slaves - single
Voices of Lee
I am forwarding your comment to her.
Thanks, Ron! I can't afford to buy it, but would definitely go to YouTube to see it again, and add it to my play list in my notes.
If you have a FB account, you can save the video.
Had already done it! Thanks! I couldn't tell for sure which one was your friend. What was she wearing? Curly hair or straight? Lol
Where is the group from? Is it a certain church or college group? Watched it again tonight with hubby. He was impressed also! We miss groups like this, being in a small elderly congregation!
The group is from Lee University. They are a Christian university in Tennessee. They have a strong music program and they thrive on educating the next generation of worship pastors.
Here is one of Chloe's YouTube videos. This is a duet with another student. It's not a worship song, but it will show which is my friend and will give another example of her talent.
Thanks Ron. The guy that was our minister of music when we were in high school had graduated from a Christian college in Clarksville, TN. I think they had a strong music program and a group of them had put out a few albums.
I think you forgot the link! Lol If it's two girls, how am I going to know which one is your friend?
Oh, wait, I just saw that it posted the link above your comment!
And I see that it's not two girls! My bad! Lol
That was beautiful, Ron! She is really talented and they harmonized beautifully! Does she play by ear, or did she have the music memorized, or is there now an app on phones that has the music? I saw him scrolling the phone and was wondering if that was the lyrics or her music?
Is that a special room at the college? It looks like those are acoustical panels on the wall and the acoustics seemed great!
The music was on her phone. I assume that was a studio that they have access to.
Yes, she is an amazing talent.
No, but those are the Americans I like to see. Very nice.
Yes, I was one of the original people to share the first Kid President videos. I went to college with his sister & BIL. GREAT folks! I think I even attended a cook-out hosted by the family. Anyway, so many of us shared it that it went viral & several other later ones did, too. The met celebs & stuff. It was cool to get the behind the scenes stuff.
Wow..that song was UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!
The first time I met Chloe, she was 3 years old and singing in front of 1,800 people. She did that for 5 shows and brought down the house. She has always been incredible.
I sent the link to my friends from church and our priest..
The group tours when classes aren't in session. They sing in churches all over the country.
That was awesome.
Beautiful well trained voices.
My friend's name is Chloe. She is the blonde that sings the duet toward the end of the song. The group is from Lee University.
Update: the song is up to 853k views.
