Just received notice of the death of one the 5 guys who, along with me, started one of the state LPs in 1976. It was a wonderful group. He was a great guy, and younger than me.
I'm sorry for your loss, Mark. He seemed like he must have been quite a guy!
Seemed so to me, and I think for others.
As a young man he was a VP at a bank. During lunch we'd skateboard down the ramps in the parking tower next to his bank, both of us in suits, coat tails flying, listening apprehensively for oncoming cars, having a ball.
We got the party on the ballot, ran candidates, held seminars, often guested on radio talk shows, attended and participated in national conventions, and grew the party.
Many good times coupled to a real sense of mission. I'll miss him.
