Do you still have a landline in your home?
Just got rid of it a few months ago when we all got smart phones.
Traditional landline and a NetTalk VoIP over cable as a backup (fully independent systems). There is no cellphone service at my house.
Haven't had one since 2001.
We need ours because our cells don't get good reception here. We're surrounded by mountains and trees.
My previous job required it so I could xmit data from my laptop to their server.
I have one only to still have a fax number. Other than that I wouldn't have one.
Never other end establishing one in any of the apartments I've lived in.
I still do but I am now starting to give out my cell. It's still nice to have another lime for calls I don't want.
It's cheap and we funnel all our BS into that line. We VERY rarely give out our cell numbers.
Any needed it today, as I lost power and need to report it to the utility.
