Which is more detrimental to "society": legal drugs and prostitution or an uninformed populace with the vote?
Ignorance is going to cause the end of humanity, not a mentor or anything like that, humans will cause it unless we have some serious changes sooner rather than later
People always argue that a woman should have a right to do as she wishes with her own body when the debate of abortion comes up, but shouldn't that same argument be used in the case of prostitution and drug use?
At least with those two you aren't harming another person or disregarding their rights.
Im actually in favor of legalized prostitution and drug legality should be left for the states to decide.
That would be an improvement - but it should in reality be left to the indivdual.
Choice to participate? absolutely individuals. Legality? States.
Legality comes into play when one person wrongs another. That is not the case here. If government is to be valid at all, it must uphold rights, not infringe them,
Loitering on private property would be an infringement on the right of the property owner. Loitering on "public" property hurts no one, and if the myth of government is to believe, is not the loiterer on his own property?
Ignorance is the reason why Democrats have all become Republicans that wear blue.
Ignorance elects blue and red hypocrites. What is with "small government" conservatives who refuse to get rid of Social Security? Why do so many seem upset about Medicare being cut due to the ACA yet don't mind a big government program like Medicare?
Ignorance and apathy will kill our society. Legalizing behavior between consenting parties will not.
Ignorance elects tax and spend liberals. Ignorance is killing America.
If you're ignorant on a anything then how can you fully comprehend what you entered into? You can't. That's why you could void out contracts based on not comprehending it. (Oversimplification I know)
Libertarians will probably be 100% on this one...
Ignorance is always the larger hindrance. Make un-informed choices, and you have where we're at right now as a country.
For the most part prostitution and drugs are victimless activities and should not be criminal.
I've never been harmed by drugs or prostitutes. I'm harmed by the government, the product of said ignorance, every day.
Ignorance of our citizens is what's gotten us into our current mess. We pressure people to vote and we shouldn't. We should pressure people to stay informed and then they will want to vote.
By the way, I think your wife mentioned you two have a bun in the oven. Congrats to you and mrsPinky!
But the things decided by votes should be extremely limited.
