Should I take Air Force junior ROTC or Ap classes? (Read the comments)
The question is: is ROTC your passion? If it is, AP classes probably aren't worth it. If you would really, really enjoy the ROTC classes, a few extra AP classes might look good but won't make you happy. Above all, high school should be about having
Fun. I'm an upcoming senior. Fortunately, I have been able to fit my upper level French and business classes around my AP classes. Honestly, I probably would have picked French/business over an AP class or two, even though I'm in the running for
Valedictorian, just because that would've made me happier and helped in my future career/college plans. I want to major in international business and minor in French. If you want to go into the military, ROTC would help you more than AP anything.
Above all, decide for yourself, not for the admissions counselors.
Or no ROTC and 1 ap class sophomore year, 5 junior year, and 5 senior year. I know that colleges like to see extra curriculars and community service and I was gonna use it for that. Some places like Harvard like to see kids who have a "passion" and..
I was gonna use it for that.
I'm gonna be a sophomore in high school and have to choose between taking AFJROTC or taking Ap classes in place of those, which means 3 extra Ap classes. I could pick ROTC and be taking 0 ap classes sophomore year, 4 junior year and 4 senior year...
