Too many people consider frozen yogurt a substitute for ice cream. Personally, I see them as two different desserts and I like both for different reasons. I answered froyo though because the flavors stand out more without the taste of heavy cream.

Ice cream. Preferably Graeter's - Cincinnati based; I grew up with it; very rich, small batch; now available almost nationally.

Chocolate Mocha Chip. My favorite since childhood. I wish I were there now for Peach (it's limited & they don't ship it here). Edie's Blueberry Pie. Almost any of the "chip" flavors, because the chips are so... unpredictable.

I went to high school with a Graeter. Kathy's now one of the owners, probably old enough to be passing it down to yet another generation.

My new favorite for home is almond milk ice cream, mmmm. But I live in Portland so I go to salt and straw ice cream, its simply amazing what they create.

There just is no substitute for the decadent creamy goodness of real ice cream. Sometimes eating "healthy" needs a time-out.

I think when you indulge you should really go for it - good quality, your favorite. Otherwise, what's the point of indulging?

Frozen yogurt is fine until it melts. Then it just tastes like yogurt mixed with ice cream toppings.
