When a black person tries to speak about real problems in the black community (black on black crime, dropping out of school, etc.) they are labeled an Uncle Tom. Why?
Most black folks consider Clarence Thomas and Herman Cain uncle toms because they are black republicans.
During the 60's it was the racist democrats who kept the blacks down.
Little known fact.
Well known fact*. It's just people choose to ignore it.
I don't get this one. Since when is a black person labelled an Uncle Tom for speaking out on issues affecting the black community?
If they reflect mainstream thinking....you know what us cracka's believe in.
I still don't get it. The "mainstream" view is black-on-black crime (like all crime) is bad, dropping out of school is bad, etc. Why would a black person who agrees with these "mainstream" views be considered an Uncle Tom?
A more biased way to put it would be anytime a black person goes against liberal ideologies....
No.....the mainstream thinking is the American dream the house two kids education etc. and all the rest. They still think whitey is cracking the whip on them. So whatever we think is good they don't.
It is contrary to the liberal narrative.
Because White Liberal Politicians need poor and uneducated Blacks and Hispanics to be reliant on the government. If the poor and uneducated ever figure out they don't need the government, Liberals would become extinct. God, are you reading this?
I can't EVER remember hearing that term used outside of a movie. What decade are you living in?
Yeah if your young you wouldn't have been forced to read "Uncle Tom's Cabin" as a kid in school. But it still applies today and you hear people still use the term.
I've read it, but have NEVER heard it used in conversation in any of the 10 states I've lived in (including 4 in the South).
Have you been on Twitter? They call black conservatives that on Twitter.
It's called the 'crab mentality.' Works for anyone trying to make their lives better regardless of race.
Why are you suddenly so concerned with "black" issues?
Suddenly? It's not sudden Cane...
The point is, Cane, he DOESN'T care about black issues. He feels threatened.
Hahahahahah!!!!!! Oh I'm just DYING to hear your rationale behind this....
Madcow maybe many of us don't get the black communities take on life a death issue when they kill each other at such a high rate. It seems hypocritical that people aren't more upset at events in Chicago or Oakland. Why the hate towards a hispanic guy
It's because they are seen as a threat to the liberal agenda. A self-thinking black person is detrimental to the people who have been getting rich off of exploiting blacks (i.e. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Sheila Jackson Lee).
