Attorney General Eric Holder believes that people whose homes are broken into and "... who feel threatened have a duty to retreat, outside their home, if they can do so safely," rather than defending themselves. Do you agree?
As with all Mr. Holder's pronouncements, my answer is a firm "Hell No!"
Anyone stupid enough to follow that advice deserves Darwin Award. Completely contradictory to basic survival instinct, common sense, & arguably Constitutional principles. You break into *our* home, there will be no retreat sans body bag.
A duty? Absolutely not.
Right? Is it my responsibility to expose myself and my family to unknown danger rather than confront an intruder on my terms when I have the upper hand?
