Would you still be friends with any of your siblings (or other close relatives, if you're an only child) if you weren't related to them?
Lets see, one of them is 9 years older and the other is 1O years older.. hmm.. I don't think so!
I'm 23 with 18 & 16 year old bothers. I could hang out with the 18 year old one because we have things in common like music and other activities. I currently hang out with my youngest brother way more and I have very little in common with him.
I know it's not age that makes the difference either, we grew up with drugged up parents forcing us to grow up more quickly, and even with the age difference we are all equally adults in my eyes.
(And act like it too)
No. My brother is 15 and that's too big of an age gap.
Not that that would prevent me from being his friend, I just don't know where I would meet 15-year-olds to become friends with in the first place.
One of my sisters. The other probably not. I can see why a lot of people dislike here.
Well of my 5 siblings I'd be friends with 2. And 3 of my sisters are attractive enough that I could have dated them had we not been related.
I can admit that about one of my brothers lol
No probably about it. Absolutely...NOT
That's seriously creepy, I never gave it much thought before. If I hadn't grown up with him as my brother, I'd probably have tried to date him!!
....... My question wasn't nearly as creepy as your comment. Lol.
OMG you're from Anchorage too.
I mean its creepy BECAUSE he is totally my kind of guy!
Wonder if that's where I developed my taste; instead of marrying someone just like my father as they say...
Probably not. I only have one brother. He and I are different in many ways. We wouldn't ever hang out in the same places to have met each other. It would be a shame, too, because he is the smartest person I know and very interesting to talk to.
My angel of a sister? I'd be lucky if she'd be friends with me!
Yes, I love my siblings and we spend as much time together as work and distance permits.
I'm not friends with my siblings now.
Yah of coarse
Only child here and I said yes because I love my siblings-in-law.
My biological one? Questionable. Steps? One of the four.
Probably with all but my dad, who I probably would never have gotten to know well enough to put up with, and maybe one of my sisters who has found religion. I mean the big "E" Evangelical kind, not the good kind. We're losing what we had in common.
I'd say definitely no. Same goes for my parents too - I have very little in common with them and wouldn't like them if I met them today.
YES: They've got a genetic predisposition to coolness.
The older other two yes, the younger one no.
Just totally different people.
I have 2 sisters and we have great times when we get together. But as far as being day to day friends.. no. All three of us are very different.
No. I wouldn't dislike her but we have nothing in common.
Actually, I think we would. I don't think they'd be friends with each other though.
The only one of my siblings I could see being friends with is my brother. I glad I'm related to him or else it might be weird having a thirteen year old hanging out at my house all of the time... Lol.
Definitely. My brother is 7 years older than me and we are really just becoming good friends.
Clarification, we never really hung out since he was so much older. So I'm really just getting to know him better and we get along very well.
My brother and I are great friends. He is only 2 years older than me, so we hung out with a lot of the same people in high school. He was friends with all my friends and vice versa.
At first probably not, but after living with someone for 10+ years, how can you not find something in common with them?! Haha
The point is you don't grow up with them...?
Duh... Disregard that comment. It's Monday, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Totally valid. Haha.
