Carrie Fisher has died at age 60. Were/Are you a fan of Princess Leia?
I love both Star Wars and Fisher, but for what ever reason I don't like Leia, and have no idea why.
More a fan of Carrie than the Princess.....but felt that the character was a great role model for children. I introduced my girls to Star Wars and they are big Leia fans. Today is a tough day for them....
I really don't watch Star Wars! Personally I think it's over-rated but it could be that I just doesn't appear as much to my generation! Blessing and prayers to her families and friends
Absolutely. Books, movies, Expanded Universe. Not just Leia, though. Carrie Fisher was a well renowned spokeswoman for drug abuse and mental illness. I've read Postcards from The Edge. Remarkable woman. She will be missed.
Sadly, she has died before her mother, Debbie Reynolds.
I somehow know Debbie Reynolds better than Fisher
Well, now Debbie is gone.
Debbie graduated from the same high school that I did, about four years ahead of me. I saw her with her mother at a school function, in 1954 when she was a starlet contracted to a movie studio. I recall being very impressed by her poise, respect for her mother and genuine humility. I can see her dying from a broken heart. Hollywood lost two of the good ones!
Another celebrity. This is a weird year.
