Thanks to many for naming their favorite sources, some new to me and definitely worth regular visits.

One site worth regular visits that I haven't seen mentioned is SCIENCEDAILY.COM, which publishes laymanish reviews of a huge number of scientific articles from all branches of science.

Usa today, CNN, BBC.

My news apps are CNN and Discovery news. Everything else I use my browser.

They can sure be funny. But did you know that several people have accidentally used them as an authoritative source of news?

Mostly browser pages saved to my home screen. Huff Post, NY Times, Fox, CNN, NBC, RT (most unbiased so far), Al Jazeera, Blaze, Drudge, BBC, AP, and prob more. It's good to see soapy people checking many sources.

10/27/12 3:04 pm

Still browser for Blaze, Breitbart, Huffpo. App for Drudge.

Among others, I have apps for CBC News, BBC News, Volksfreund, DiePresse, Tagesschau, National Post, WSJ Live, Politico, MacHash, Techwire, CNN, USA Today, and ABC and NBC News. But the best place to get interesting news is my subscription to sxephil (Phillip DeFranco) on YouTube (using the app).

Mostly the newshog app for Android and a scientific news portal app - free time magazine, too.

I have two main news apps- the Fox News app (my conservative news source) and the New York Times app (my liberal news source). I read both and figure the truth is somewhere in between the two...

drudge report app!

@wer, I have a lot of news apps. Drudge actually has the most up-to-date news other than my AP app. Regardless of their bias.

Flipboard when I use an app. Usually browser, though. Most of the news feed apps try to get too cute with the app and forget they are delivering content. I don't need fades, flips, spins or customizable swoosh sounds when I'm reading the news.

Agreed flipboard is my favorite app of alton my iPad. Perfectly set up and allows you to create a nice variety of news sources

Equal split between browser, flipboard, & following links on twitter to browser

I read enough news stories via links on Twitter (posted either by news media that I follow, or by individuals) that I don't often use the news apps that have. I do use the local newspaper's app pretty often for local news.

On an iPhone, Flipboard is good... but on an iPad it is outstanding... a true "must have".
