One of my memories of youth was singing "Onward Christian Soldiers" I liked it, judge me?
The thing that comes to mind with that song are warbling, musically challenged old ladies murdering what I thought to be a nice up-tempo melody. Later in life I realized that the battle imagery of the lyrics really conflicted with my idealized version of Christianity, from which I have long since entirely departed ideologically.
Good riddance, Jesus could stomach your crap, I can't. 🙉
How delightfully Christian of you. 👼🏼🙏🏼😹😹😹😹😹😹
aww your just joshing me 😎
I sang that on a loop as a kid.
When I hear that song, I don't think if my Confirmation (they played it) ....I think if the scene from M*A*S*H
Mine was who wears short shorts!
Had it memorized by age 5!
Mine was "Blessed Assurance", but as a child I sang, "Blessed Insurance", but in reality, I guess both are accurate😉
That's a good song
