Do you think that President Trump will move America away from the destructive policies of globalism, multiculturalism, open borders, and neoliberalism while moving us towards a pro-America policy of assimilation, nationalism, and better trade deals?

Yes, and I have mixed feelings about it.

His cabinet appointments so far are a good sign. We just need Kris Kobach to be deputy secretary of homeland security!

"No matter if you want to help people, or just want less refugees coming into your country, it is directly beneficial for you to help others in need"

Yes it will be beneficial for us to help all of the men and women in this country that do not have jobs or food instead of helping out refugees.

America first! 🇺🇸

The simple truth is, its beneficial to make sure people on the other side of the world live a good life

The simple truth is, we don't need to import the problems and culture of the third world here when we have problems of our own to deal with first.

RagingMystic covfefe
12/26/16 10:36 am

And having the rest of the world helping us with those problems will be the best way to solve them, but they can't do that if they're wallowing in poverty

Its better for everyone if we make the third world not third world anymore

MrAmerica Peaceful protestor

So it is americas job to take care of people on the other side of the world instead of taking care of people in our own country? I am sure china Mexico and Saudi Arabia will be willing to take care of our people in case something bad happens in the US. (sarcasm)

gluxford1 Arizona
12/26/16 10:38 am

Nope. We need to take care of ourselves first. Our responsibility is to take care of the needs of the American people, not the needs of foreign countries.

The third world can stay the third world if they choose to. It's not our responsibility to pull them out of their backwards ways, and we certainly don't need to import third-world cultures into the first world.

The rest of the world NEVER helps us with our problems.

Maybe they would if they weren't worrying about not getting shot while were worrying about kicking all the brown people put

Ah, leftists and their race-baiting. Nobody mentioned race here except for you, RagingMystic.

No one brought race into this conversation but since you did I will say that I'd rather we take care of a LEGAL immigrant from the Middle East who is a American patriot Muslim than a white catholic refugee from Germany who hates this country.

And look at the technological developments coming out of India and China, countries that a few years ago were bottom of the barrel and still aren't great. Now imagine an entire world of that.

RagingMystic covfefe
12/26/16 11:12 am

And you wanna know how to fix the refugee problem in a way that's good for everyone? Help end the war that makes refugees

gluxford1 Arizona
12/26/16 11:16 am

Oh yes, a country like China, that oppresses and tortures it's people and a country like India, that is filthy, polluted, has several areas that don't even have toilets, and has an entire class of people that are shunned as human garbage, are so magnificent!

How about we build safe zones in Syria instead of importing barbaric cultures into the western world? See, we can compromise.

RagingMystic covfefe
12/26/16 11:26 am

I never said China and India were great, I said even with the minimal development they've had they are still making astounding contributions to the world

The countries aren't, individuals are. Let's take their best and brightest over here and nurture them. The rest that wish to keep their 3rd world ways can stay out.

If you think the majority of "refugees"
leaving the ME just want a better way of life, you're sadly mistaken. Approx 75-80% are fighting-aged men with very few women and children. It's a soft invasion. Some of them have too much built up hatred and are acting out before they're supposed to which will ruin it for them, hopefully.

If they're so commited then why aren't they fighting?

gluxford1 Arizona

They are too busy invading the west to advance their global jihad.

We have more than enough to help here. And no-one else is offering assistance.

Mystic, isn't inserting ourselves into other countries' affairs what gets us into crapholes of civil wars and general murder like the Middle East?
I say stay out.

They haven't started a war here because they don't have enough people to do that. It will generally always be attacks like we've seen.
