Based loosely on a poll by mramerica: the goal of liberalism is progressivism. The goal of progressivism is socialism. The goal of socialism is communism. Does communism evolve from liberalism, or does it just happen?

I just found this poll by searching my name in the SOH search bar. Are you referring to the poll that had the quote from Lenin?

It is a deliberate evolution. Liberals always keep pushing to the left. That's probably why they call it "progressivism." Unfortunately, it's not progressive, it's digressive and counterproductive to American principles and ideals.

Liberals take baby steps to archive their goal of fascism . . .

Your end goal is fascism then, correct, tlaney? Since being left of center means you're headed towards left extremism, the same would apply to those right of center?

Neither, liberals and socialists have pretty much nothing to do with each other, the only liberals I can think of that might are certain classical liberals like John Stuart Mill.

This poll is simply a massive failure of critical thinking. Makes as much sense as me saying the goal of conservatives is nationalism, the goal of nationalists is fascism and the ultimate goal of fascists is Naziism. Massive failure on all counts.

Exactly. There may be a spectrum of ideologies, but just stepping over the moderate line doesn't mean you're ultimately headed to an extreme end.

And the goal of Communism is Utopia. And Utopias never end well. Never. Not on this planet anyway. Not with this species of relatively cognizant sentients. Not here. Not us.
