Would you rather have an hour-long private dinner with Barack Obama or Donald Trump?

I'm not a huge Obama fan, but I respect him and would probably rather have dinner with him than Trump

12/28/16 4:18 pm

Trump so I can take my steak knife, or any legal firearm and kill him.

12/24/16 11:06 pm

I feel like Obama would be a cool guy

12/24/16 8:04 pm

I don't like Trump, but I want to understand his motives.

12/24/16 1:41 pm

94 percent of black people would rather talk to Obama.

12/24/16 8:03 pm

Sigh due to stupid comment.

12/24/16 1:38 pm

Neither. I'd be terrible at anything I'd have to do there, from making conversation to actually eating the food.

I'm more interested in the future than the past, so I'd opt for Trump.

Obama. I don't give a flying fart about Hillary anymore, but I can't take Trump seriously anymore. Everytime I look at him, I see him shaving off Vince McMahon's hair in Wrestlemania 25 and being inducted into the WWE hall of fame

Come on Obama is much more cordial and relatable, I'm shocked it's as lopsided as it is, I guess people just can't remove politics from it.

12/23/16 11:56 pm

Exactly. I don't like Trump, but I mean Obama just seems like he'd be a good conversationalist.

Obama. I'd like to hear his story and his presidency personally.

12/23/16 10:16 am

Trump would be entertaining to eat with at the very least. Plus we could talk about how he became successful. The only success Obama ever had was in winning the presidency twice.

Soxfan824 Jesus was a liberal

Plus you could talk about sexually assaulting women with Trump.

Trump seems really boring to talk too.

How so? At the least, he'd do something rude and make it interesting.

I've read the interviews with Trump's former butler. I think I would drive the man crazy with my rare steak and cheap taste in wine. I cannot imagine he would enjoy eating dinner with me very much. At least with Obama, we can tell dad jokes and stuff. I don't think he would be as offended by my plebeian tastes and mannerisms.

12/23/16 8:51 am

Trump doesn't drink and loves fast food....I don't think you've based your opinion on anything substantive....not that it matters...if you'd rather eat with Obama, more power to you...

12/24/16 5:51 am

I am aware that he doesn't drink, but I do. Fairly heavily, and I typically drink very cheap alcohol. I also know that Trump is very particular about things like how people dress around him. Pretty much my nicest clothes are the black slacks and polos I wear at Applebee's. I don't own an article of clothing worth more than thirty dollars. It's thins like that. If he was down to go through the drive through with me at a fast food place, I guess I could make that work, but I think that Obama would just be more open to sitting down for an actual meal with someone like me.

12/24/16 6:57 am

I've heard the Buttler's reports about Trump's particularities and idiosyncrasies, but they don't seem to match up with what a lot of other people say about him...I'm not sure who to believe...but if the guy loves fast food, how uptight can he be?

The Obama discussion would go I I I and Me me me, and the Trump discussion would go we, you and us. Definitely my choice would be somebody that's concerned about me and not about themselves like Obama.

12/23/16 1:40 pm

I think you confused those two around...

12/24/16 9:50 am

He sure did....

Political opinions aside, Obama would be better dinner company than Trump (needless to say, I'm not really a supporter of either one, but I tend to lean republican) and I think Trump would make the dinner much less pleasant.

ehube513 Lebanon PA
12/22/16 9:19 pm

I think Obama would be a much more interesting and intelligent dinner guest. I think I'd be able to relate to him a lot better as well. This is despite any political beliefs I have, but I truly believe Obama is a good person and is well-meaning. He has a good sense of humor too, something I really appreciate.

Intelligence in the top ½% of the population; education (Master's + >24 hrs. additional study); 65 years' life experience; and an understanding of the Founders' original intent in writing the Declaration, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Any more rude questions?

You could try applying for Mensa membership. That's what I did in college, and that's how I found out where I am on the bell curve. I dropped my Mensa membership when the dues became exorbitantly high, though.
But earning a Master's degree in any field is no small accomplishment! 😃

I did not support Obama, and I honestly preferred Trump to Hillary. That said, I would rather dine with Obama. On a personal level I do not think Trump and I would click. I'm not basing this off the media controversies or anything, but just from watching him long before he even announced his campaign, I've had the impression that he has zero boundaries with women and I don't think I would be comfortable alone with him.

schoolmom1969 Nebraska
12/22/16 8:16 pm

Yeah...that's right wing propaganda. I have friends in Canada and Australia. They are doing quite well financially because they could take more risks with their business ventures when starting off because they didn't have to try and pay for insurance or constantly be afraid to take a risk in case of horrific medical issues due to extreme illness or injury that would cause them to go bankrupt like the young entrepreneurs I know here in the US have to. Many more small business would start up with guaranteed medical coverage. And neither of my friends has ever had to wait for medical help in their countries. They don't come to the US for anything medical...just for vacations.

I wouldn't be able to eat if it was with BHO. I don't say that hatefully; he has been so duplicitous & condescending & ugly toward WeThePeople I would know, no matter how he behaved, that he'd rather be anywhere on earth than being forced to sit w/a peon nothing who can do nothing for him. I don't particularly enjoy social events anyway & can barely force my way through situations like that, with anyone. I end up getting physically ill & have to leave. I had way too many family meals like that... & for the same reasons.

elianastar FreeSpeech
12/22/16 9:51 am
