No. It's just a good thing to have, but it's not the role of gov't to force you to get it. We've seen what the disaster called the ACA has done to premiums, etc.

No, life insurance, for most people, is not required. Having a nice nest egg is much more valuable than dumping money into someone else's pocket "in case you die" within the next certain number of years. And whole life is a straight up scam.

Life insurance is to cover expenses in the event of your death. If I were to die my life insurance needs to cover my funeral expenses and help my dependents. If my parents died they don't need life insurance. Their estate can cover funeral expenses. Their children are independent. The surviving parent has enough to retire.

Picked no, as almost everyone dies with enough of an estate to get toasted to dust and dumped. It just doesn't seem like deadbeat deaders are a public burden.

A lot of the people complaining about how "the government needs to stop tell me what to do!!" Are the same people who want to ban abortion...the irony

Is there anything that republicans don't blame on democrats? This isn't even a democratic principle and yet there's still people blaming it all in the democratic party๐

I don't understand why people are thinking this is a liberal policy. It's forced personal responsibility. Just like forcing people to pay for their own health insurance, it's forcing them to be personally responsible for their own expenses. A more liberal approach would be to handle these expenses through a government insurance program financed by tax payer dollars.

No! No no no no no. Just no. No more government intrusion. They're the most wasteful, fraudulent and abusive entity in the history of mankind. Stop giving them ideas.

Life insurance is not necessary. Car insurance already is, and under the current system, health insurance should 1) either be required of everyone, no exceptions, or 2) made illegal to have (to insure a true consumer Market in healthcare products).

No. That is none of the federal government's business. People should take a look at the 17 enumerated powers of Congress in the Constitution sometime, in order to see the only things the federal government can meddle in.

No, if someone doesn't want life insurance then they shouldn't get it. However, life insurance should still exist in our country.
